There is a meteor shower occuring tonight. It's said that it is bad luck and that sailors even cancelled their trips when it occured. Everyone is talking about the meteor shower. Terry's sister, Laura, appears in the episode. She complains about the small pay he gets being a lifeguard and the fact that she could get double doing anything. She suggests that Terry starts taking care of their father and she'll go work. She's tired of taking care of her father when Terry has all the fun. The doctors don't know what their father has and meds don't seem to help. Father Thomas shares, with an older priest, his fears about Father David's disappearance and the fact that he's now handling alone the congregation.

Logan, Sarah's husband, is rather angry (for a reason we don't know yet). While in his car, another one bumps into him. It's a rather small collision but it doesn't help Logan's anger. Boyd suggests to Sarah that she gets help from a friend who knows Logan in order to help him deal with his problems. Sarah asks Father Thomas for help. Christina goes to the hospital to talk to a Dr. Kendrick to get information about her mother who may have been a patient of the doctor a few years back. When the doctor listens to Christina's story, she brushes off the case saying she never knew Christina's mother... but the doctor is clearly lying... Terry's father will finally be seen in this episode. Judy and Jesse also appear.

The clerk sells her a ticket for New Haven but as he pushes the computer buttons to print the ticket, there is a computer glitch. He wants to fill in a ticket using a pen but the ink won't come out. When she's on the bus a woman begins feeling bad and as she is about to die, she delivers a message from beyond to Christina...
